Reminder we’re having work day at New Beginnings Church from 8:30 am to about noon this Saturday. We are doing this instead of practice. It’s our way of giving back to New Beginnings Church. 4-H One Day is just the start–it’s one of the many opportunities our 4-H’ers have to help out in the community. Also remember the countywide One Day theme is a ‘random act of kindness’; you can do many things for others and let them know you’re doing it as a 4-H’er.
If you haven’t already, please RSVP by sending me an email. I’ve had many responses whether they’ll help this Saturday. Thanks!

Volunteers still needed for tomorrow. For more info, see the Brazos County 4-H Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/brazos4h
Today is the last day to register for the Conroe training. I already know Kevin Albers is attending; if you complete registration, please let me know. And congrats to Daniel Schorre for getting certified at the prior training in Victoria, TX.
If you’ve not enrolled yourself as an adult leader, it is too late for the Conroe training. We’ve seen the background check can take two or several weeks. Those interested should enroll now as an adult volunteer to help out and for later training opportunities.
For other coach training opportunities, see this post on the 4-H Natural Resources Blog:
I’ll point out the Hunting and Wildlife Leader/Coach training in College Station Feb 1-2. If anyone is interested, it’d be great to expand our program to include this project area. See this PDF for more details:
There is no practice this Saturday. Our club is participating in the county-wide 4-H One Day project, beautifying Grandview Cemetery. Please see the previous post for details on the 4-H One project.
We intend to have practice the following Saturday, Oct 19. Watch the website or check email for updates.
